Monochrome lithograph by Swedish artist Pierre Olofsson. Done in the 1950s. Small series. Marked with artist signature in pen and 21/30. Very good condition.
Pierre Olofsson was part of the art collective "1947 års män", a gorup of Swedish painters that started painting constructive art, not imitating life. Together with Arne Jones, Olle Bonniér, Lennart Rodhe among others they went in a new direction on the Swedish art scene from 1947 and onwards. Olofsson was a great admirer of dance and music and his paintings were often inspired by his non figurative images of these impressions. The line that keeps on going in a closed circuit could be for example a moving scheme from a dance of some sort.
