Chamotte stoneware vase designed by Gunnar Nylund. Hand made at Rörstrand in Sweden during the 1930s. Round vase made from chamotte clay with a rustic expression. Glazed in shifting brown tones on a white base. Chamotte is a clay mixed with crushed pre-fired ceramic particles, the technique makes the clay very durable and also contributes to it aesthetic. Very good vintage condition with light age related wear and patina.
