Ceiling pendant model "Kassablanka" designed by Simon P. Henningsen. designed in 1964, this example made by Lyfa sometime between 1964-1970s. Made up from four rectangular boxes fit into each other on an angle to prevent direct light. The inner most box has been lacquered red to give a warmer tone of light. The visual effect of the angled square shapes create a whimsical and almost surreal effect, very much in line with Henningsens lighting. As much a sculpture as a functional light fixture. Very good vintage condition with light age related wear and patina. new electric components.
