Pair of "sporstuge" chest of drawers in the style of Axel Einar Hjorth. Made in Sweden during the 1930-40s. Made from solid pine with a beautiful age retained patina. Nicely figured and expressive grain throughout the chests. Minimalist design in the air of the furniture made by A.E Hjorth in Sweden during his time working for Nordiska Kompaniet at the time making furniture aimed to be used in summer homes. Perfect as bedside tables or matching drawers in a bed room. Very good vintage condition with light age related patina from use and wear.
