Rare and early dining chair model "Bellevue" designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1936. This example made by Fritz Hansen during the late 1930s. Made from solid oak and thick natural leather seat with great patina. Very good vintage condition with light age related wear and patina. Original leather seat with patina as pictured.
The Bellevue chairs was designed for the Bellevue Theater in Copenhagen in 1936 and part of the first complete design project realized by Arne Jacobsen. The chair was the first furniture piece made in collaboration with Fritz Hansen starting their long lasting relationship through Jacobsens career.
